Thank you for helping us fulfill our mission to foster fitness, healing, empowerment and peacemaking!
I started training at Thousand Waves in January of 2001 because I received a gift certificate. I then spent two years as a work-study student before I could pay for classes. I want to make sure that we remain a community where anyone can train or take self-defense classes regardless of ability to pay. I want to make sure that we can continue to offer off-site self-defense programs regardless of ability to pay. In the past two months I have participated in teaching free community self-defense classes in Logan Square and West Town, in addition to the self-defense programs we offer at the dojo. I want to make sure that we can continue to support programs like the Adapted Seido Karate Program. Any amount will help us to carry forward with this mission. Thank you!
