Thank you for supporting Thousand Waves mission to foster fitness, healing, empowerment and peacemaking.
I have been training at Thousand Waves since I was four years old and it has continued to be a safe, empowering, life changing community for me throughout these last thirteen years. I have grown as a person and as a martial artist in ways that I never would have without the support and teachings of my mentors and peers in the Thousand Waves community. Recently, I've begun to teach in the kids program, where I started my training. I greatly treasure the experience of mentoring our young karateka to find and protect themselves through our martial art, just as I was mentored when I began my training. Our fundraising efforts will not only help Thousand Waves maintain our commitment to access and affordability by providing scholarships for all who need them, but will also allow me to continue to guide our young members through their martial arts experience.
